About Us

Who We Are

Stone & Stryder is a trusted Owner’s Representation consulting firm with over 50 years of collective experience in residential development management and construction project management for both residential and commercial projects. Our clients rely on our expertise to advocate for their goals, protect their interests, and ensure successful project execution across a wide range of building types and complexities.

We provide:

  • Owner’s Representation – Many property owners face challenges when managing development and construction projects. While architects, engineers, and contractors bring technical expertise, owners often lack the resources or specialized knowledge to effectively oversee complex capital improvements. Stone & Stryder offers a flexible, cost-effective alternative to full-time hires, delivering expert guidance and meticulous oversight to drive project success. We believe that the key to success lies in experienced representation and detail-oriented construction project management.
  • Construction Management – Our team delivers comprehensive oversight and administration to ensure quality control, budget adherence, transparent communication, and timely completion. We specialize in construction project management for highly technical and large-scale commercial projects, including multifamily buildings, shopping centers, industrial facilities, office campuses, civic institutions like schools and hospitals, cold storage and food distribution hubs, and mission-critical data centers. With decades of experience in commercial project execution, we ensure every aspect is professionally managed.
  • Residential Development Management – Stone & Stryder supports clients in creating much-needed housing by managing Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) projects, facilitating infill residential development consulting, and executing adaptive reuse consulting to convert underutilized commercial buildings into housing. We navigate California’s evolving housing legislation to maximize site potential and streamline approvals.
  • Real Estate Advisory Services – We offer strategic support through feasibility analysis, due diligence reviews, pro forma budgeting and schedule creation, financial underwriting, project planning, permit procurement, and design coordination. Our approach to infill residential development consulting ensures that our clients unlock full site value while navigating entitlements, CEQA exemptions, and local zoning constraints.

Additionally, we provide guidance and oversight for seismic retrofits, helping owners of vulnerable or aging structures comply with local mandates and improve life safety. Our deep knowledge of seismic retrofits integrates risk reduction into broader capital planning efforts for residential and commercial projects alike.
